Bessie and Willie Clyde are taking such great care of their six babies! Check out their transformation...from little smokies to furry gerbils. I think most are females, I'm waiting for them to get a bit bigger to be certain. Figured it out! Read on...two look like Willie , one of them (the runt is a boy). Three are the same color as Willie, only with black on their ears, nose, feet, and tails, of which one of these is also a boy, and one is all gray. The rest are all females! Let me know if you want one of these little beauties, they are very gentle. We handle them all the time. They are still blind and deaf, but should develop in another week. I can wean them around April 6th when they are a month old. Crikey, they're fast little boogars! We had to put them in an aquarium so they wouldn't get through the slats in the critter cage. I failed to put the lid on the first night in their new home and Willie Clyde was on the lam. I heard Kyle yelling at the cat, "Kramer, stop, no!" Apparently Kramer and Willie were playing together in the kitchen. Silly Willie!

Freshly stained playplace
Here's a glimpse into what our wacky clan has been up to...from critters, snow, and just the randomness of every day life.
We have had the house painted inside and the playplace stained, had baby gerbils, and visitors of all kinds, and enjoyed playing in the snow. Sadly, our Nemo crab didn't make it, but Larry's as happy as a clam! He's always trolling around in the sand, crawling over his shells and palm trees. Timmy the fish is looking forward to warmer weather so we can put him out in the water garden. He's much too big for our little tank, he's very bored. He sleeps a lot.
