Little Smokies

Bessie and Willie Clyde are taking such great care of their six babies! Check out their transformation...from little smokies to furry gerbils. I think most are females, I'm waiting for them to get a bit bigger to be certain. Figured it out! Read on...two look like Willie , one of them (the runt is a boy). Three are the same color as Willie, only with black on their ears, nose, feet, and tails, of which one of these is also a boy, and one is all gray. The rest are all females! Let me know if you want one of these little beauties, they are very gentle. We handle them all the time. They are still blind and deaf, but should develop in another week. I can wean them around April 6th when they are a month old. Crikey, they're fast little boogars! We had to put them in an aquarium so they wouldn't get through the slats in the critter cage. I failed to put the lid on the first night in their new home and Willie Clyde was on the lam. I heard Kyle yelling at the cat, "Kramer, stop, no!" Apparently Kramer and Willie were playing together in the kitchen. Silly Willie!

CRITTER FUN

Fun with Whitey. She loves science!

Click on this image and look at Willie's eyes...

Willie loves his ride!

Bessie, not so much.

Sadly, our little gray cat has disappeared for good I'm afraid. We still have our mean girls though! Boy, the looks they shoot at those gerbils! We do have a lot of fun watching and playing with them.

Notice the expression on the snowman? Coop's preparing for the tackle

Kyle just creamed me!

Finally, some decent snow! Cooper's main goals were snow angels, snowball fights, and a snowman. He achieved all three! Kyle got in a few goals of his own...

Random Life

Here are some random pictures of the kids playing inside and out. Twister and Sorry have been excellent inside games and it was great to get outside and enjoy the snow! Matt and Cooper frequently serenade us on the guitar as well.

Gone to the Dogs

Sadie on high alert

Makoda and Missy greet Cooper in the hallway

Missy thinks those cats are lip-smackin' good! She's got one cornered under the bed...

The dogs have been to visit as you can see. Nothing like a good cat chase to get you going! Cassie the poodle came by the other day to see the baby gerbils. She was beside herself crying at the little furballs and the deer head hanging in Cooper's room, although I didn't get any photos, it was hilarious (and a little pitiful) to watch!

Larry's got back!

Here he is having a bath...sorry Larry!

Freshly stained playplace

Here's a glimpse into what our wacky clan has been up to...from critters, snow, and just the randomness of every day life.

We have had the house painted inside and the playplace stained, had baby gerbils, and visitors of all kinds, and enjoyed playing in the snow. Sadly, our Nemo crab didn't make it, but Larry's as happy as a clam! He's always trolling around in the sand, crawling over his shells and palm trees. Timmy the fish is looking forward to warmer weather so we can put him out in the water garden. He's much too big for our little tank, he's very bored. He sleeps a lot.

Farewell Boyd

Gala at the Boyd Coddington Springfield Auction 2006
(Boyd traded his flowers in for white tonight)

The world of Hot Rodding lost a great guy on February 27th. Boyd Coddington had a fine eye for talent and although you may not have always agreed with him, he was a fine person nonetheless. We will miss seeing him and his shirts at the Rodding events and on the show, but we hope we will still see Jo and the rest of the Coddington crew. I know their foundation will remain strong and continue to help local communities and the mentally disabled.

The Boyd Coddington Pro's Pick we received last season is especially meaningful now, as are the previous and the memories of events such as his first auction in Springfield. Can I get an 'Amen?!' Some of you know what I'm talking about...

Peace be with you Boyd, and your family.

Please visit Boyd's myspace page for more info on his foundation,

The Holiday of Love...

Cooper checking out his loot, Honey having a rigor

Told you they were beautiful! The white one is Carrie's...

The card says, "read me."

Need I say more?

Valentine's Day was full of LOVE as always, flowers, notes, candy...this is definitely one of the best days of the year! The day began with Carrie's boyfriend decorating her car at 6:30 in the morning ( he arranged this so he wouldn't get shot). He chalked the windows, left a card, a big dog, chocolate milk and a cd that said, "play me." It was so romantic! Denny calls Matt our 'fourth child.' He's a keeper!

Denny brought me a dozen beautiful yellow roses before I was off for the day~they smelled amazing! I got him some of his favorite candy, Twizzlers, and we got to spend the weekend together. I left a big o' box of candy for Kyle, and delivered a balloon and a groovy gel pen for Carrie. I eventually made it to Rena for Cooper's party~it was crazy! Of course, second graders with bags of candy...would you expect anything else? I only got one picture that day, but it was worth it!

Happy Birthday Anna Belle!

Yo-yo my homey's, time to go!

Later that day...after a burger from Mickey D's, Jen's feeling super!

Proud parents!

Jennifer, A.K.A. Mrs. D (Coop's teacher), gave birth to an adorable baby girl on January 28th of this year. Jennifer, Drew, and Lil' B (Lillie Beth) couldn't be happier! We had a great time anticipating her birth and the kids in the classroom think she's pretty neat. Jen has survived the birth, conferences, and cheerleading tryouts and will be back in the classroom after Spring Break. The kids have missed her are looking forward to seeing her soon!

Congratulations!

Yogi's Golden Boy

Dennis, Owen and his wife, Dale, and Denny

Once again, we made our annual run to Tulsa for the Darryl Starbird Custom Rod and Car Show and Monster Truck event. We all had great spots in the house and once again made out with several awards. It was great to visit with Yogi and his wife and our buddies from Fayetteville. We also had a great time running our own version of 'Pinks' on motorized ice-chests. One of my favorite things to do is turn on the trunk to the Eagles farewell tour, really loud, and have a beer. Great way to draw a crowd!

Cooper came one night and we visited the birds, snakes, tarantula, and iguana from the safari folks that are there every year, along with the Nascar remote control race track. We dropped some jack on that one! The best part of the show was the Monster Trucks and the motorcycles in 'The Cage of Death.' Honest, those guys must have a death wish! At one point there was four guys on motorbikes driving in circles inside this circular cage~it was nuts! We took our party to Abuelo's before calling it a weekend. It was great to meet so many new faces. I've put a few pics up on the blog and the rest of the Fine 9's are on this site, check out the last four, those are our peeps!

Looks like it's going to be another great year!!!!!

So far, nothing broken with that new sling shot we got Carter...

The 'after party' Wii at the Davis'

It's January, that means that Cooper is making the party circuit once again! There was bowling with Carter, pizza, swimming, and a sleepover with Hayes, and tumbling with Landon. Thanks for inviting Cooper everyone, your birthday's were the bomb!

In between those parties, we have enjoyed air-soft wars and goofing off in general. See what I mean?...
